Tesla says Musk made zero pay last year, just over $20,000 in 2019

by Tesla Color on August 14, 2021
Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk was paid zero last year and $23,760 in 2019, electric car maker Tesla said Aug. 14.

Tesla also said in a regulatory filing that Zachary Kirkhorn, the company's chief financial officer, was paid a total of $46.6 million last year, compared with $21.2 million in 2019.

Elon Musk's compensation package calls for Tesla to achieve a set set of targets for market capitalization and earnings growth.

As of April of this year, Elon Musk is eligible to receive a portion of Tesla's options, currently worth more than $30 billion, under the compensation package finalized in 2018.

In a filing with regulators in March, Tesla added the official title of 'Technoking of Tesla' for Elon Musk and Kirkhorn was named 'Master of Coin'.

Earlier this month it was reported that American author Walter Isaacson would write a biography of Musk. Isaacson has written a best-selling book about Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.
